To Multitask, or Not to Multitask?

Several non-mac users have recently brought
to my attention that there is a common belief that
Macintosh's, since they do not prememtively multitask,
do not multitask well at all.

Well, as an owner of a Win95 Pentium and a Powermac,
I decided to dispell this popular ill-fated myth.

Just take a look below, and you will see my
"About this Macintosh" box that displays currently
running programs and available resources.

System info:
Apple PowerMac 7100/80
80 Mhz
48 MB Ram
256K L2 Cache (standard)
700 MB Internal Hard Drive
1080 MB SCSI External APS Hard Drive (Fireball Mechanism)
2X Apple CD-Rom - Internal
1 14 inch Macintosh Colour Display w/ 1 MB VRAM
1 14 inch Macintosh Colour Display w/ 1 MB DRAM
1 SupraFAXModem 14.4 (Printer Port for dedicated Faxing)
1 SupraFAXModem 28.8 (Modem Port for data connections)
1 Apple Ergonomic Split Keyboard

Click here to get take a look at the desktop of this system during a complete max out of RAM. Note that even with two monitors, I ran out of Desktop space long before I ran out of RAM/resources/Processor Power. After opening all the applications, I still was able to open a 9 MB Photoshop file without any problems.
